How The App Works

I’m one of the fortunate people who got to play around with the app before it even launched and it’s ridiculously easy to use.

There is an insane amount of security in place to keep all your info private, but you load your kids info into the app, including everything from the car seat type they require, remember, car seats are nonnegotiables with Cool Kids Cabs, their school name, grade, teachers name, collection times and even medical information.

Then you need to capture your allocated guardian’s details in the app too, including photos. The Cool Kids Cabs drivers will not leave until your child is safe with one of the guardians you’ve approved on the app. You can set up your child’s full term (or school year) in advance or on an ad-hoc basis should extra-murals or a birthday party come up that you want them to attend. You will also be able to view your child’s driver profile so that you and your child can familiarise yourselves with who will be driving.

Additional Safety Features Of The App

Aside from Cool Kids Cabs already impeccable safety standards, an additional security feature of the app is that as the parents, you can monitor each trip as they happen to ensure your child gets to where they need to be safely and on time. This is combined with SMS notifications that are sent on the collection and drop off.

It’s like UBER (but better) For Kids

I found this interesting, but did you know that it is illegal for a minor (children under 18 years of age) to enter into any form of commercial contract, which is why in this country, many ride-hailing services do not allow for unaccompanied minors to travel in their vehicles.
