I know it’s not technically Friday, but it is a fake Fri-Yay and I ran out of time to get this post out last week, so I figured I’d share it today!

Here are some of my favourite finds for April!

For the kids…..

There’s a new show coming to Cartoon Network Africa…. Unikitty! It looks adorably cute and …. a kitty that’s a unicorn? My kids are going to love this.

There was a sneak peak on Unicorn day, the 9th of April, but all the episodes will air on Cartoon Network from the 7th May.

Staying with all things Magical…. Enchantimals – Caring is our everything!

The Enchantimals are a group of lovable girls who share a special bond with their animal friends. They’re also half girl, half animal, something which appeals massively to Ava! I love that it combines teaching girls about empathy and compassion for all living things while appealing to their imaginations and of course, having some fun with all those social media filters.

These adorable dolls are available at selected retailers across South Africa and range in price between R129,99 – R719,99.

Got a YouTube addict in the house? The characters and stories come to life through a variety of short-form YouTube content and a 60-minute movie on Nick Toon.

Keedo launched their new winter range!

Keedo is a trusted and proudly South African brand which blends imagination, comfort and style to create functional and fashionable designer clothes for kids aged 0 -5 years old and it’s totally adorable! Hannah loves her outfit.

All the items are just adorable, for boys, girls and babies.

Now for something less fun… let’s talk about our kids brushing their teeth….

I have one child who has no problem brushing her teeth and another who resists. I think this has a lot to do with the toothpaste they use. Which Ava often complains burns her mouth, so we’ve bee putting the Elgydium Kids & Junior toothpaste to the test and both girls seem to like it.

I learned something interesting from this press drop. Did you know that kids should not be allowed to brush their teeth unaided until they can write comfortably? Apparently, before they can write comfortably, they don’t have the dexterity to brush their teeth properly themselves.

The Elgydium Kids & Junior toothpaste contains Fluorinol, a patented second generations amine fluoride, that assists in remineralising and repairing tooth enamel. It also contains Siliglycol, which is a film-forming agent that prevents decay by stopping sugars from adhering to teeth. It also contains none of the nasties like SLS and parabens and the fluorinol is at an age-appropriate concentration. Elgydium Kids & Junior toothpaste is available at selected Clicks & Dischem stores for R54,95.

Right, now it’s time for something for us moms!

Naturals Beauty Shampoo & Conditioner

The new Naturals Beauty Shampoo & Conditioner is certified organic, is colour safe and contains no silicones or sulphates. The shampoo and conditioner are for all hair types, so I tried it on my hair and while it smells absolutely incredible, with my chemically treated hair, it left my hair feeling dry. BUT, I have been using it on both Ava & Hannah’s hair for the past month and it’s been incredible. It has a long-lasting fragrance and has kept both their hair clean.  The shampoo and conditioner retail for R125 each and you can find a list of stockists here

Dr. Gobac Exfoliating Masque

This is an enzyme exfoliator, honestly, when I read that, I knew I’d be hooked.

The exfoliating effect comes from the enzymes which dissolve the dead keratinised layers of the skin and improving elasticity. The exfoliating masque is available at the Skin Apothecary in Sandton, at selected salons nationwide or you can purchase it online for R520 at Drgobac.com.

Mineraline Super Hydrating Day Cream

Gah, winter is around the corner and I can already feel my skin starting to dry out. So I’ve been loving the Mineraline Super Hydrating Day Cream. Mineraline products are formulated using minerals found in the depths of the Dead Sea. This cream is ideal for normal to dry skins and is also suitable for use on sensitive skins too. It’s available at Dischems nationwide for R195

That’s it for my April roundup. Let me know if you have tried any of the products featured and what you thought?

Happy FAKE Fri-Yay everyone!
