My banting journey was originally featured in the January 2015 edition of Lose It Magazine, so I was completely thrilled when, last year, they contacted me to ask me to participate in their cookbook project, which would feature, not just recipes, but some of readers favorite weight loss stories.
This is a low carb cook book with a little twist.
Aside from featuring some amazing recipes….
It also features a bunch of weight loss stories. The book is divvied up into easy to follow sections and along with the usual meat, fish, chicken dishes, it also features recipes for those wanting to follow vegetarian, meat free, dairy free and nut free low carbing! As well as guilt free sweet treats!
In addition, it’s written from a South African point of view!
So the recipes are easy to follow, with ingredients readily available locally. This has always been a challenge for me when sourcing low carb recipes online. So many are written and include ingredients not easily sourced locally so I often have to find alternatives.
Each recipe also gives a great nutritional breakdown, so you can really monitor your carb intake, especially if you’re following low carb for weight loss!
