I’m not going to lie, being a blogger comes with some really cool perks. My family and I have gotten to experience some things we never would have been exposed to if it weren’t for my blog and for that I am always thankful.

This past weekend is a case in point and I got so much more out of this weekend than just getting to have the #FeelPeugeot experience! But I’ll tell you all about that tomorrow, FIRST…..

On Friday, the very sexy Peugeot 2008 SUV was delivered to my office using the Peugeot #WeComeToYou service, where they deliver the car to you for test drives. Obviously, I got a bit more, I got a whole weekend of playing in this gorgeous car!

GT Line

Peugeot delivered the top of the line 2008 SUV to me, the 2008 SUV GT Line 1.2 Puretech 81kW Petrol  which retails for R349 900 and I literally squealed with delight the first time I saw it!

I’m not a petrol head.

In fact, what I know about cars, aside from how to drive them, is pretty dangerous, so I’m not going to bore you with a copy and paste off Peugeot’s website of all the amazing specifications on the car, because most of it is Greek to me, so I’m going to tell you what I thought about the car instead!

Attention to detail!

The finishes on the GT line give it a very sporty look, often when you think of an SUV, what comes to mind is a little bit boring in the looks department, this car was anything but boring. From the 17″ alloy wheels, to the black chrome radiator grille with an embossed pendant design, to the gloss black door mirrors and black roof bars – this is a dynamic and sporty SUV!

The Interior

The sexy, sporty design is carried through into the interior of the car, with a black leather interior and red trim and it’s  Peugeot branded aluminium door sills, sports pedals and GT Line carpet mats. The compact sports steering wheel is finished in perforated leather with red contrast stitching, the head-up instrument panel features red LED dial surrounds, while the 7″ multifunction colour touch screen continues with the red colour detail.

The car comes standard with two front, two side and so cushion airbags and in spite of it’s sporty look, it still managed to fit two booster seats in the back, comfortably.

The driving experience

I loved to drive this car, oh man, it has a load of power, was fast and nippy and travelled well on the open road. Trust me, I took it off road around the stables on Saturday and then we drove out to Harties on Sunday and the car handled all the different terrain’s beautifully. It’s a really fun drive!

The Mom Checklist

The car has a big boot, more than enough space for riding tack and the million and twenty bags I travel with everywhere. I also loved the elasticated and netted storage side panels in the boot that allowed me to store goods like bottles of water, preventing them from flying around the boot.

The car had more than enough space for both the girls booster seats in the back and could comfortably have taken a third person in the middle.

It had every mod con I’d want in a car, all the technology, bells and whistles but in a sexy super stylish package. I loved this car, there was nothing boring or Mom Jeans about it, it was sexy and fun to drive with loads of power.

If I were in the market for a new car, I’d be sorely tempted by this one!
