Go Health North View has been open for just over a month now, the first of 40 planned health club’s in the new health club franchise to hit SA. I’ve been training at the North View club since it opened and I can tell you, being running fit and being strong are two very different things!

When I joined the club, they set up a personalized, 45 minute training program just for me, which focuses primarily on my core strength in order to ensure I optimize my running and minimize the risk of injury. Guys, this training program is TOUGH! I did a session on Saturday and my abs are still stiff and sore and it hurts to cough, from all the planking and core strength I did in those 45 minutes of exercise on Saturday! You can read more and get my personalized training program here: Train like a Barrenness.

Just one of the area’s that sets Go Health apart from other health clubs in gym’s in SA, is there focus on technology and using technology to track my exercise and fitness both inside and outside the gym. Just their app keeps track of health, fitness and weight loss, whether I’m at the gym or road running.

Go me! @gohealthclubsa #GoHealthSA A good start to the weekend!

I’ve also been supplementing my winter training program with early morning Functional Fitness classes. I love these classes, they’re a total body work out in a short period of time, which is great for busy folk like me.Β FUnctional Fit Β  And now, you can get in on the action this winter too!
