A casino visit isn’t really synonymous with a great family outing!
But our evening was fabulous! Between all the family friendly restaurants, we had a great meal, and LOVED the Beautiful Creatures show.
Beautiful Creatures is an award winning, South African production, where kids get to join in the sing along with songs about all of their favorite South African animals! My girls were both mesmerized and loved the characters and the music. Best of all, proceeds from the show will be donated to StopRhinoPoaching.com in the continued fight to save one of the planet’s most majestic creatures.
After the show, and because we were already there, we decided to visit the Garden of Lights! Guys, I’ve been hearing about this for years now, but this was our first visit and it was magical and a bargain at only R25 a ticket. The Garden of Lights is open daily from 19h00 to 22h00 until the 8th January and I promise, you kids will LOVE it!
Take cash with you because inside the garden, their are stalls selling all kinds of light up paraphernalia that your kids will want. You can also order food and drinks inside the garden and settle down for an evening of fantasy! Also, all funds raised from ticket sales go to the Peermont Trust, which aids in various social development projects.
My children didn’t want to leave The Garden of Lights and this was made even worse when they discovered the small fair ground set up, with all kinds of fun carnival rides at the exit of the Garden of Lights.
If you’re staycationinig these holidays like us, then a visit for Emperors Palace is a must, a fun, entertaining evening out with your kids!
