I’m back! What a crazy week it’s been, 4 flights, 5 days, 3 cities and back to back meetings, which would explain the radio silence here on my blog and social media.

But here it is…. my first post in a week & it’s also my first make up tutorial!

A few of  you had approached me and asked me to create a make up tutorial for my everyday, nude make up look. And even though I had blogged about this look before, I decided to stretch myself and create my first make up tutorial video. If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know that video is still a fairly new medium for me so I thought this would be fun!

But first, here’s what you’ll need to create the look:

  1. Dermalogica Skin Perfecting Primer with SPF30 – there are a lot of primers on the market, so find the one that works best for you. I love this primer, it gives my skin a dewy look, without making it greasy and because I wear contact lenses, a lot of the primers make my lenses blurry during the course of the day, this one doesn’t.
  2. I love Essence, I use a lot of their make up and am especially mad about their foundations. Their Stay All Day foundation is amazing, ridiculously affordable, gives great coverage without being cakey and it literally lasts the entire day without needing touch up’s or blotting.  I also love their Stay All Day Fixing Translucent powder. It really gets the job done and sets my foundation beautifully.
  3. Then for color palette’s you simply can’t go wrong with Catrice. I uses their Nude Chocolates for the eyes and also their mascara’s and their eyebrow powder kit
  4. And for the best brushes, the Oval brush kit from Glamore SA is the BOMB! You won’t find a better set of compact, quality brushes for your face!

Those are just a few of the basics that you’re going to need to create this look:

So here it is, the actual tutorial:

If you enjoyed the video, please give it a like! And leave a comment below letting me know what you thought of this look! Also, if there’s anything else you’d like to see on my YouTube channel, let me know, I am so loving the video medium and keen to keep trying new things!
